More Information About BOMA

Who We Are
The Building Owners and Managers Association of Seattle King County is a professional trade association whose several hundred members from 250 firms either own or manage commercial real estate or provide goods and services to the industry. Established in 1912, BOMA is the voice of the office building and commercial real estate industry.

Our Mission
Is to actively represent the best interests of the commercial real estate owner, the real estate professional, and our allied members through effective leadership in advocacy, through the collection and dissemination of information, and professional development and accreditation.

Organization
BOMA is an international organization with more than 106 local associations. We are federated with our national office BOMA International (www.boma.org)

BOMA is a bottom up organization which means that each local BOMA association operates under its own by-laws and Board of Directors. The local association is well positioned to meet the needs of local members while also addressing needs on a state, region, or national basis. However, we work closely with the international office in a partnership designed to represent our members interests at all levels of the business community and government.

There are three other BOMA locals in Washington State:

BOMA Spokane  www.bomaspokane.org

BOMA South Puget Sound  www.bomasouthpugetsound.org

BOMA Tri-Cities www.bomatc.com

We are a 501 C6 not-for-profit trade association. BOMA Seattle King County has a paid staff of five, and a Board of Trustees of 28 real estate executives who seek to protect and promote the best interests of our members.
