BOMA May 19th College & Career Day

BOMA’s Future Leaders - Emerging Leaders Day May 19, 2008

If you are a current college student or recent college graduate you are invited to be our hosted guest at BOMA’s May 19th General Meeting lunch in downtown Seattle at the Red Lion Hotel on Fifth Avenue.

You must register through the BOMA office by faxing a Student Registration Form to the BOMA office at 206-292-8060 or emailing the BOMA contact below.

Our lunch speaker will focus on - why the next 20+years are going to be the best time to be in the real estate industry, about emerging employment trends, "hot" markets and client segments, real estate cycles and where the next cycles of opportunity will likely be and what real estate employers are now looking for when hiring future leaders in commercial real estate.

Our lunch speaker, Christopher Lee is President and CEO of the Los Angeles-based CEL & Associates, Inc., one of the nation’s leading consulting organizations specializing in strategic planning, compensation, satisfaction and opinion surveys and performance improvement.  Mr. Lee is the acknowledged leading futurist within the real estate industry.  Mr. Lee has his Ph.D. in Management and Organizational Development and, for over 30 years, has been active in and an advisor to real estate companies nationwide.  Mr. Lee is also the editor of Strategic Advantage, a quarterly newsletter that has a futurist perspective of the real estate industry.  Chris’ opinions and forecasts regularly appear in trade publications, and he is a frequent speaker at industry conferences.  His firm for the last 17 years has conducted the nation’s largest compensation survey in the real estate industry and, in 2006 Chris’ firm will conduct approximately 2,000,000 customer satisfaction surveys.  CEL & Associates, Inc.’s client list reads like a Who’s Who in the real estate industry.  Perhaps the best indicator of the demand for his services is that he has accumulated over 6,000,000 frequent flyer miles.

If you are not a college student but would like to attend – contact jchapman@bomaseattle.org for information on how you can register.

BOMA will also be conducting a Career Fair the same day from 1:30PM-3:30PM. More information on that event will be posted soon.
