BOMA Seattle King
County offers Building Operator Certification classes at a special rate! BOC is
a nationally recognized training and certification program providing building
operators with knowledge and skills to improve the energy efficient operation of
their buildings. Training is a critical component of BOMA's 7-point Challenge.
Provide education to
your managers, engineers, and others involved in building operations, to ensure that
equipment
is properly maintained and utilized.
Brought to you in partnership with BetterBricks, Puget Sound
Energy, Seattle City Light, Snohomish PUD, and Tacoma Power. Certification is
competency-based and offered on two levels. Level I emphasizes energy-efficient
building maintenance practices. Level II stresses equipment troubleshooting and
maintenance for improved energy performance.

"The most valuable aspect of the BOC
program is its 'whole building' approach to facilities maintenance and
engineering. All the elemental aspects of a building operation -
electrical, lighting, HVAC and controls - are taught in an engaging,
interactive style. Students get a complete overview of the entire
physical plant as well as their responsibilities for its efficient
operation."

"BOC Training is helpful because they are
always current in new technology, stimulating creativity and getting
people to think outside the box."
