Jobs and Employment
About sending your
resume to BOMA
The
BOMA office does not post open jobs but rather accepts and maintains a
collection of resumes that are accessible to potential employers upon
request. We receive many inquires from both job seekers and potential
employers. Our resume referral service is informal and we have to limit
the amount of time we dedicate to this service. However, we do make an
effort to assist BOMA member firms seeking new staff and assist real
estate professionals seeking new opportunities.
Job Seekers
BOMA members and non-BOMA members may submit resumes, but they must be
by email attachment preferably in an MS Word or .pdf format. We do not
accept printed copies. We hold the resumes in our electronic file for
approximately six months and then discard them. Important: name
your resume file attachment in this format type “John Smith Resume July
2009." This format ensures that your resumes are forwarded to potential
employers more readily and if not sent in this format may be discarded.
Disclaimer: Once you send us your resume, it is in the public
domain. We cannot promise confidentiality will be maintained. Once you
contact us or send us your resume and it is placed in our files, any
employer reviewing the file will have access to it. We do not warranty
the handling of your resume. While we encourage potential employers
reviewing the file to be careful about contacting current employers
etc., it is out of our hands at that point.
Send resumes to
rkauffman@bomaseattle.org.
In the body of
your text state the type of job you are seeking. BOMA members who
desire some level of confidentiality may discuss in person or by phone.
While we will try to accommodate your wishes, we do not make or imply
any promise of anonymity, but we will try to honor your wishes.
BOMA Policy
Potential employers and employees should know that BOMA staff will not
refer any currently employed real estate professionals as potential job
candidates unless they have first informed us that they are interested
in being referred to potential employers. This policy is in place to
protect our member firms and employers from loss of key staff.
