What is the YEPs Program?

BOMA Seattle King County offers a series of networking events specially designed to connect young emerging professional’s in the commercial real estate industry with each other and within their company's BOMA membership.

Do you qualify for the YEPs Program?

So, who is a “YEP” (Young Emerging Professional)?

§  Someone who is relatively or somewhat new to commercial real estate management and may hold a position such as property manager, assistant property manager, tenant services coordinator, broker, or similar. (7 years or less in the industry)

§  Someone who might currently be working in real estate accounting or research or other support position who will likely continue their career in a real estate management capacity. (Looking to extend their career into property management)

§  Someone who would be considered a future leader in BOMA or the commercial real estate industry.

§  Someone who is closer to their 20s than their 40s (Though we are not attempting to assign an age limit most persons attending BOMA’s Young Emerging Professionals events will be in their mid 30’s or younger.)

§  Someone who would enjoy and benefit form networking with their emerging leader peers in a fun and relaxing environment.

§  Someone who is interested in learning more about and/or becoming more involved in their BOMA membership, and how BOMA can benefit the future of their career and their company.

Who may not be a Young Emerging Professional?

§  Someone who is not pursuing a career in commercial property management

§  Someone who does not currently hold, or does not desire to hold a management or decision-making position within commercial real estate.

§  Someone who’s company is not a BOMA Seattle King County real estate member
