BOMA Seattle King County offers education opportunities with a focus on the Commercial Real Estate Industry. BOMA’s Education concentrates on training today and tomorrow’s workforce to be successful in commercial real estate. This is accomplished through:
- BOMI International Designation Programs for those who look to a future in Property or Facility Management
- Seminars presenting current topics relevant to the commercial real estate industry
- State of WA Real Estate clock hours that meet renewal requirements for those with Real Estate Licenses
- Brown bag lunch sessions discussing current trends and topics: Power Hour for Property Managers, Engineer Skills Hour for Building Engineers, and informational sessions for Industry Partners

RPA and most FMA classes are eligible for approval of clock hours for continuing education from Washington State Department of Licensing, good towards the renewal of Washington State Real Estate License. Click here for more information.
Textbooks for the classes will be available for pick up from the BOMA office approximately a month prior to the start of class. The office is open Monday through Friday from 9 am to 5 pm, except 12-1 pm for lunch. Any textbooks not picked up will be available on the first day of class. It is advisable to pick up your textbook prior to class and read the first couple of chapters before the first class.

JACK DIERDORFF EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIP
The Jack Dierdorff Scholarship was established February 22, 2010 in honor of Jack Dierdorff (1918-2009) who, throughout his career, encouraged and promoted professional growth and development within the commercial real estate industry, making a difference in the lives and careers of many.
The scholarship provides an educational opportunity for an individual who is currently pursuing or engaged in a career in property or facility management in the commercial real estate industry who demonstrate financial need. The scholarship covers the cost of one in-class BOMI course that can be applied toward a BOMI designation (including Foundations of Real Estate Management).
Two scholarships are awarded per calendar year.
The annual application is posted every May and submissions are typically accepted until November 1st of that year. Scholarship recipient(s) will be notified by email in early January the following year.
