WHAT IS FOUNDATIONS?

A comprehensive, 6-module, 28-hour entry-level course, covering the fundamentals of commercial real estate administration, management, building systems, accounting and reporting, contract management and more.
Classroom instruction from seasoned professionals
Live, in-person training with small class sizes to facilitate learning, discussion and team activities.
A complete package—instruction, peer networking and a comprehensive course manual that is easy to read and a valuable resource back on the job.
Class is updated with 2025 information and materials.

BOMI Revenue Administration Micro-Credential

This course will be held in-person in downtown Seattle. Course materials are accessed via the BOMI virtual learning platform (students will need to bring their own computer.) Upon completion of the course, students will receive a micro-credential, signaling their growth in the CRE property management industry.

Micro-Credential Description

The Revenue Administration MicroCredential program is designed to equip property and facility managers with the skills they need for timely and accurate posting of revenue charges as well as managing the revenue collection process. Consisting of five ShortCourses – including foundational budgeting and accounting and reconciling common area maintenance (CAM) – this program will help you better understand and speak the language of finance so you can lead with confidence, even if you’re not the one performing accounting functions.

What Will I Learn?

When you complete this program, you'll know how to:

Reconcile common area maintenance expenses with tenant payments
Properly record and track various types of rent and billings
Identify and communicate tenant costs based on rent clauses, lease types, etc.
Measure property performance based on net operating income
Effectively apply budgeting and accounting principles to daily operations
