BOMA Seattle King Coutny will be supporting the 2016 Ryther Giving Tree. You can select a gift tag during the November 14th General Meeting or by contacting the BOMA office  at 206-622-8924. Your unwrapped gift can be brought to the BOMA Holiday Party on December 6th. We appreciate your support for this program!   Please read the Holiday Gift Guide below from Janelle Simms, Advancement Associate, Ryther:   Dear Holiday Gift Donors,   Thank you so much for
participating in Ryther’s holiday gift program for 2016! We truly appreciate
your generosity which allows us to help provide a merry and bright holiday
season to the children and families in need who receive care and treatment on
our campus. This year, we wanted to send along a few things to keep in mind as
you purchase gifts this holiday season.
The following items are prohibited for children receiving care in our residential
Cottage Program:       Items that present a hazard when broken, which
can include toys or keepsakes made of       glass or are ceramic.      Jewelry, such as earrings and necklaces –
Plastic bracelets/bracelet-making kits ok      Towels or sheets. Bedspreads and/or comforter
sets ok when requested      Candy      Make-up of any kind. Hair ties, headbands, and
nail polish are always ok           Flashlights

 *Any movies or
video games purchased should be age-appropriate. For movies, this means
anything G or PG rated. Video games should be E or E10.
**Children and families receiving Outpatient care or are part of our
Therapeutic Family Care program may have requested the above items. Those
requests will be noted on their gift tags.**
A few last things… Children in our residential Cottage Program are
constantly growing (they are kids!) and taking medications that can have an impact
their weight; their clothing needs may change between now and the holidays. Because
of this, we are not requesting clothing
items for the Cottage Program this year, with the exception of special
clothing items (sports jerseys, hats, etc.), pajamas sets, and bathrobes. In
lieu of clothing, we are requesting gift cards to ensure our children’s
clothing needs can be met throughout the year. We are located near the
Northgate Mall, which has the following stores in the area: JCPenney’s, Old
Navy, Target, ROSS, Payless Shoes, DSW Shoes, etc. Children and families in our Outpatient and our Therapeutic Family Care
(Foster) programs have requested clothing items, and their sizes have been
provided on their gift tags.Due to storage capacity, we request that oversized
stuffed animals not be donated unless specifically requested by the child you
are shopping for. Please do not personalize any of the gifts with
the children’s names. The names provided are a pseudonym to maintain the
confidentiality of our clients compliant with HIPAA requirements. And, finally, be sure to attach a tag with the child/client’s code and "name” on the
gift, so we know who the gift belongs to, and please do not wrap or bag the gifts! We would, however,
greatly appreciate rolls of wrapping paper, gift bags, tissue paper, and gift
labels if you would like to donate supplies.

Thank you for helping us kick-off
the holiday season at Ryther! We appreciate your understanding and cooperation
with our requests. If you have any questions, please email me at janelles@ryther.org.
 Sincerely, Janelle Simms
