Details: The BOMA Energy Efficiency Program 2.0 (BEEP) is a refreshed and
updated version of the well-known, efficiency training course developed by BOMA
and some of the largest commercial real estate owners and managers in the
industry. These courses give you the information, strategies, and resources to
help reduce energy use and cost. Attendees will examine the use of financial
metrics and tools to calculate and sell sustainability projects to owners,
asset managers and tenants by highlighting the positive financial and
environmental impacts of improved performance. This course focuses on how to
create effective awareness and engagement programs to communicate
sustainability accomplishments to key stakeholders. It will provide attendees
with tips and examples to create target communications. This seminar will cover two parts:
PART 1: BUILDING THE BUSINESS CASE: VALUING ENERGY
ENHANCEMENT PROJECTS AND FINANCIAL RETURNS
Learning Objectives:
- Define relevant financial metrics for energy efficiency
improvements and explain how they are used for making business
- Present a business case for EE improvements to
management/ownership
- Identify financial & non-financial benefits
to communicate costs and savings, leveraging standard formats and tools
- Understand a range of financing options to cover
the cost of EE improvements
PART 2: AWARENESS & ENGAGEMENT: PROMOTING AND LEVERAGING SUSTAINABILITY
