February Power Hour - Leveraging Technology for Integrated Maintenance and Operations Presented by Hendrik Van Hemert,
Adam Gloss and Ric Cochrane, McKinstry
Buildings are
increasingly complex – new buildings have new technologies, and existing
buildings are constantly modified for new purposes. Facilities operators should
be using technology to move from reactive maintenance mode to proactive and
predictive maintenance practices. Best practices are based in the right balance
of technology and technical expertise – data and software in service of people.
The components of exceptional O&M programs include comprehensive facilities
assessments and equipment inventories; maintenance plans built on specific
preventative and predictive maintenance data; and, right-sized performance
tracking through data analytics and proactive maintenance.
Putting all the
pieces together is simple but far from easy. Leaders from McKinstry Service and
Technical Services teams will share how to integrate traditional service
activities and data-driven performance optimization to enhance facilities teams
capacity, increase reliability, and create value.
