May Power Hour - Aging Roofing: Throw It Away or Recover Presented by Wade Vorley, Wiss, Janney, Elstner Associates Inc.
We all know that
roofing materials have a finite life and as they age roof leaks can become a
thorn in your side, upset tenants, and increase maintenance costs. At this
point, roofing materials are typically removed, the trash sent to landfills,
and the entire assembly, including insulation, installed new. Sometimes roofing
systems can be recovered but the success of this method is often limited. This
presentation will outline when a recover is advantageous, pitfalls to avoid,
and a few methods to make your recover a success.
Lunch will be provided by Wiss, Janney, Elstner Associates Inc.
