The BOMA DSA Coalition
will be meeting with the Seattle Office of the Waterfront (OTW) on Friday October 13th from 3:30PM-5:00PM. Location: One Union Square Conference Room - 600 University Street, Seattle WA 98101.
BOMA has been actively
engaged in the City’s plan to assess downtown property owners through a local
Improvement district (LID) to pay for approximately $200 million of waterfront improvements.
The OTW’s appraiser has
completed the feasibility study and it can be accessed here. The estimated special
benefits range is $300M to $420M. The proposed timeline
for the formation of the LID is quickly approaching. In April of 2018, the
Council will determine the legislative process which includes intent to form
resolution.
We encourage all
downtown property owners and managers to attend. You will learn more
about the project including specific timeline, value of assessments and plans
for long term maintenance.
