| Emerging Professionals Presents the April General Meeting: Behind the Scenes |

|
Article written and contributed by the BOMA Emerging Professionals Committee

In January, Rod Kauffman (BOMA Seattle King County President) approached us to see if we would be interested in organizing the April General Meeting and with this mindset in the forefront, we decided moments later this was something we should definitely tackle. Our main goal planning the event was to keep that "fun” reputation while presenting something cutting edge, but interesting to anyone attending. | 2017 Demand Changes for Seattle City Light Network Customers |

|
Article contributed by Seattle City Light
Downtown Seattle is booming and Seattle City Light is working to meet the needs of business customers. With burgeoning infrastructure requirements, City Light’s Downtown Network implemented changes to peak demand charges this year. The impact of these changes upon billing depends on customer energy consumption patterns; those with high load factors (a constant load of the kind seen in hotels and data centers) will see smaller increases than those with low load factors (use that varies a great deal). | Knox Box Burglary Update- City of Seattle |

|
Article contributed by City of Seattle
Dear Building Owner or Property Manager,
As we communicated with you last July, the Seattle Fire Department (SFD) and the Seattle Police Department (SPD) have been working together on a burglary investigation involving the use of Knox Box building entrance keys. Both SFD and SPD knew from the outset that all SFD Knox Box keys were accounted for. After months of investigation, we write to inform you that Seattle Police were successful in identifying and arresting four suspects in connection with the burglaries. As a result of this investigation, we learned that the burglars gained access to buildings by manufacturing keys to the Knox Boxes and removing the master to the buildings' front entrance.
