Thank You To Those that Participated at our Annual Women in Action Event

BOMA Seattle King County hosted its second annual Women in Action event on Wednesday, May 9th with over 150 BOMA members in attendance. This year’s keynote speaker was Mercedes Ramirez Johnson, who was one of four survivors in a commercial airplane crash in 1995. While over 160 people were killed, including her parents, Mercedes miraculously survived and vowed to make fruitful use of her second chance at life. She gave an inspiring speech on living intentionally in both professional and personal endeavors.

A special thank you to Hudson Pacific Properties for accommodating the event at their 505 First Ave South location!

Smart Buildings Center Executive Forum - Free for BOMA Members

The Smart Buildings Center Education Program is hosting its first Executive Forum on June 7th (10am – 2pm) to offer the opportunity to hear about a revolutionary project called The Edge.

The Edge in Amsterdam is one of the world’s best examples of a smart building. At the Edge, an app controls where you sit, where you park, what the lighting levels around you are, and how warm or hot the space is.  This is all enabled through a smart buildings approach that engages occupants through an app developed by the building’s largest tenant, Deloitte. Come hear about this amazing building from one of its masterminds, Erik Ubels, CTO for OVG Real Estate and former CIO of Deloitte. Hear from Erik about the business productivity and energy savings enabled through the Edge, and learn about what OVG is working on now in its Edge Technologies. Following Erik’s presentation we will hear from a local panel on what smart means to us here in the Pacific Northwest. Register today.

As early supporters of the SBC-EP we would like to offer free registration for this event.  You can click on the registration link above and select the "SBC Community Partner” at check out.

BOMA 360 Performance Program

The BOMA 360 Performance Program sets the standard worldwide for operational best practices in the commercial real estate industry. For building owners and managers who want to help their properties stand out from the crowd, there is no clearer mark of excellence than achieving the BOMA 360 designation.

Earning the prestigious BOMA 360 label demonstrates that a building is outperforming the competition across all areas of operations and management. It also translates into measurable savings and operational efficiencies, as well as higher levels of tenant satisfaction.

As the BOMA 360 program continues to expand around the globe, more and more properties are reaping the substantial benefits and significant return on investment that the designation offers, an unmistakable edge in an increasingly competitive marketplace.

Does your building have what it takes to earn the BOMA 360 designation? Click here to apply and find out.
