Power Hours are free educational opportunities for our members that occur once a month during the lunch hour and usually take place at the BOMA office. They present important topics that can impact our members and their business and gives quick and helpful information. They are not a sales pitch or a commercial but more of an opportunity to give information that is relevant and helpful to the target audience: property managers, engineers, and sometimes other vendors.

We are constantly looking for BOMA members to present and currently have openings for the 2017 Education Schedule. If you're interested in presenting or have a topic suggestion, please fill out the Lunch and Learn Application Form

Some suggested topics to present:

  • How to reduce, reuse and save on utility bills, Have any utility companies discuss with us new programs we might not know about
  • Building safety- earthquake, shooter tips or protocol etc.
  • Discussions on social impacts of the community to landfill and composting in your backyard. Where does it all go? make players aware of not just the economic cost but social and environmental costs as well.
  • HVAC and Plumbing topics
  • Go deep into life cycle issues. What is life cycle, instead of discussing how to deal with waste. How do we prevent it, where does it start, the major? Washington DC? What if we closed all our landfills tomorrow? What would happen? What is the cost?
  • Update to BLINK network and other car charging options.
  • Optimize utility – rebates, managing energy systems, tools for monitoring, incentives available
  • New Waste – what are the requirements? How do you meet them?
  • Others?

As a BOMA member benefit, Power Hours are free to attend. For our upcoming Power Hour schedule, please click here
