TOBY Updates and Changes for the 2023-2024 Cycle

Here's what will change for this cycle -

New Categories Added:

• Life Sciences
• Retail
• In-closed Mall < 1M SF
• In-closed Mall > 1M SF
• Open Air Shopping Center

Criteria Changes

• EnergyStar – eliminated requirement to share data with BOMA International to compete at International level, still need statement, no need to be certified by engineer
• Removed COVID language – TOBY Inspection Verification form still required – signed by local judge, enforced for next cycle
• Locals will be required to use the portal and BOMA Seattle King County is requiring BOMA 360 (which you can apply for now but need to apply before September 30, 2023 to qualify for TOBY
• BOMA BEST highly recommended - details about this coming very soon!
